Why buy a kei truck in Houston from us
- See it before you buy. Every vehicle marked “In Houston” is on our lot. Inspect it, test drive it, or bring your own mechanic.
- Buy online or in person. Vehicles in Houston can be bought outright at checkout or at the lot, where we take cash and cashier's checks. Vehicles in transit can be reserved with a $1,000 deposit that counts toward the price.
- Import paperwork included. Each vehicle comes with its Japanese export certificate and U.S. import documents, which you will need at your county tax office.
- Help with Texas titling. Read our Texas kei truck title and registration guide before you visit the county office.
- Pickup or shipping. Houston-area buyers can pick up at the lot. For buyers farther away, we can help arrange shipping within the mainland United States through independent carriers, paid directly to the carrier.

How buying works
- Find a vehicle. Browse listings online or visit the lot.
- Buy or reserve. Pay the full price for a vehicle in Houston (online, or in person by cash or cashier's check), or pay a $1,000 deposit to reserve one in transit. The balance is due before pickup or shipping, within 14 days after we let you know it has arrived.
- Pick up or ship. Collect it at our lot, or have your carrier pick it up.
- Title and register. Take the paperwork to your county tax office. See the Texas guide.

Frequently asked questions
Are kei trucks street legal in Houston?
Since September 1, 2025, Texas law treats kei trucks as “miniature vehicles” that can be titled and registered, and driven on public roads once titled and registered if they can comply with traffic laws. Our Texas title guide explains the steps.
Do kei trucks need an emissions test in Harris County?
Harris County emissions testing applies to gasoline vehicles 2 through 24 years old. Kei trucks that are 25 years old or older fall outside that range. Confirm with the Harris County Tax Office before you register.
Can I test drive before I buy?
Yes. Call or text (713) 385-9798 to set a time to see and drive any vehicle that is in Houston.
Can I pay in person?
Yes. We accept cash and cashier's checks at the lot, or you can pay online at checkout. Call or text (713) 385-9798 to set a time.
Do you take trade-ins?
No. Vehicles are for sale only, and we do not accept trade-ins or trade offers.
Is there a warranty?
No. All vehicles are sold by Wideway Motors LLC AS IS, with no warranty, which is why we encourage you to inspect and test drive before you buy. All sales are final. See our Terms of Sale.
